BC Salmon Farms MUST Release Sea Lice Data

Individual Salmon Farm details of sea lice infestation and disease outbreaks in B.C. will be made public for the first time. This could affect future decisions on the east coast of Canada. In the Bay of Fundy sea lice numbers have mushroomed to high density levels.

Meanwhile, on the BC coast it could make a difference to the future of SOCKEYE and other species.

Thanks salmonthink for the info on sea lice. I am convinced and have been for a long time that sea lice is the major demise of out PNW salmon. I even believe that Washington rivers such as the Skagit, Saulk and Sky are effected also if our steelhead migrate north through the inland passage as smolts. It makes perfect sense to me and I wish more study was done on it.
Thanks again
Cheers.

Second that.

Also, the recent article you provided revealing the excessive and often illegal use of pesticides to cover up sea lice which is devastating to shellfish
