Discussion with harbormaster, a few years ago...

HM: "you boys might want to step back a bit"

Juro, on behalf of guests from Oregon: "what's goin' on?"

HM: "seen a white shaaark"

Juro, concerned: "how recently?"

HM: "just motored over it"

(sound of quickly sloshing feet in retreat)

Here are some great shots from the MA DMF site:

Ahhhhh.... I can hear the sound of howling seals as they are "tenderized" just before being swallowed whole.....music to my ears!

Miniumum Length: 72"
Bag Limit: All you can catch, plus one.

Check out the map from the pages Juro linked to:
http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dmf/spotl...tions_2009.jpg

I'm going to buy one of those super-giant-sized treble hooks to attach to the stern of my kayak. I think the ratio is about right... Rapala:bass = kayak:Great White Shark (Shahk).

Here's an artist's conception: (actually its my own amateurish PaintShop cob-up)

Looks like my hook might need to be a couple of sizes larger (and a few more X Stout).

Good fishing,
desmobob
