New and full moon tides?

When fishing around the new and full moon tides do you look for the biggest tides? Is the fishing best as the tide sizes increase or is it typically good on both the lead up to the biggest tide and the retreat?

I like around the moon tides because the lows occur when most of my fishing is done, daybreak 'til 8:00am. Not crazy about the really big tides because it usually means a surplus of weed to contend with.

The tide's effect really depends on the spot you're talking about. Some spots are great at low, others outgoing, some incoming, others high. Some spots hold fish at moderate lows but are void of life on big minus tides. Other spots may go nuts because the extra fast current from moon tides renders baitfish helpless to escape.

Answer - all depends on the canvas on which the tide brushes.
