Glades Trip

Jim D & I just got back from two days of fishing out of Everglades City/Chokoloskee. We put flies in front of lots of big Tarpon, but none that would eat. Most of the fish we saw were in the 60 -100# range. We did manage a couple of nice Snook....fun sight fishing in 6" of water. There was not the usual level of fish or bird activity; it was plain that the cold snap kill had really done a number on the system. We were fishing with Ned Small with whom I've caught a lot of fish: he knows where to find them if they are there.

The 20 hour flight home from Ft. Lauderdale to Burlington was not the highlight of the trip.

Looking forward to hearing more details. Barry and I were just talking about a possible trip in July since his Italy trip was pushed to the fall.
