Few fattie bones and the proverbial ones that got away...

Ran a boat over from west palm and got a little time to bonefish up around Walkers. While not known as a premier destination, it is the second time that I have had excellent days. There are some HUGE fish in the northern Bahamas. I lost two fish that were well over 10 lbs and cast to a few as big or bigger. One fish screamed across the flat and almost spooled my Tibor everglades and I was using brand new 16lb seaguar, eventually popping the leader- thats how much drag he was pulling. The other was tailing!! and I had a solid hookup and the fish again screamed across the entire flat, eventually cutting me off on a coral outcropping. While wading I had a shot at two fish that were so big I thought they were Tarpon or sharks. Maybe the big boys were out bc of the cool weather and the tough wind allowed me to get close, but it was impressive.
