Lost a rod in Chatham

I left my sons' little spinning rod on the causeway to Morris Island where we park for Rip Ryders this sat. He was bummed out. We went all the way back to get it from Dennis and it was gone. So if you hear of anyone finding ti please let me know. You'll make a happy 6 year old.. It was gold colored,6 or 7 feet long, with a small black graphite reel.
Boy did Dad feel like a heel.

Terry -

If you're taking collections give me a snail mail address and I'll send him a note with some lunch money to show him fishermen take care of other fishermen.

Thanks but that's ok. It had very little monetary value. The rod was actually one I used to catch stripers on when I was a kid. My dad used to let me borrow it on boat trips. I also remember seeing my dad catch arm long blues in the Thames river down Conn. with that rod. And, landing a 20" Landlocked Slamon when I was 14 on that rod at West Grand Lake in far eastern Maine. Oh well, I'll have to dig up another rig for him. I just hate to buy one of those $12 flourescent green rigs for him. There's no legacy in it.

Give the Rangers at the Monomoy Fish & Wildlife Station a call. Someone may have turned the rod into them. Their number is (508) 945-0594.

Hmm... can't put a price on that kind of history. May not have had monetary value but it was a priceless artifact of Weir generations. Hope it turns up!
