heading to Montauk, what flies?

Heading to Montauk, Thurs. I here sand eels and anchovies are the thing to match. hat size sand eels are around there now? What is a good anchovie pattern?

A surf candy or whitebait mushy are good patterns to imitate the anchovies, which are about two inches long now. There hasn't been as much bait at Montauk as years past, but that might change at any time this month.
