RIP TRIP - Sept 26 -27

I would love to pull my hair out....but I don't have enough for that social statement. I am willing to stay at it and see if we can do next weekend if Keith can do it from a scheduling (seal Trips) . I can make it and RickW. can....I know JimS can, and probably PeteV and Janman.....CJS60 (Craig) could maybe make it as he said he would be watching the forum. I would expect penguin will be around. I am willing to stay at it until mid October....That would be four attempts give or take. I am setting up this thread. Just sign on if you would like to. I don't see why we don't stay the course if guys can get down to the Cape. I WOULD ALSO HOPE TO MAKE THE CALL ON A GO OR NO GO....BY Thursday...for planning issues. Also, and I forgot...what are the dates for the Bone Clave???? I would not want to overlap. So assume any RT's would be around the Bone Clave and not ON the Bone Clave

OK Pax...that makes 6 already for sure. I don't doubt we can get the numbers , we all just have to be flexable. I am staying at it since the fall trips have been very good. The "worst" rip trip of the many I have been on was this past spring with only about 50 fish caught between the 10 guys....this is why I want to stay at it.

Hi John and Jim, thanks for making this happen, I've never been on a Rip Trip and I'm hoping this is the year! Anyways, I'm flexible, and am available either day next weekend.

John,

I am unable to go on the 26th, but keep me in mind if the trip is on the 27th. If others are interested, can we do a rip trip on the 1st weekend of October?

Steve

The season is coming to a close so I would love to schedule others for the next several weeks if we don't pull the next off and even if we do we might want to do another if that is at all possible. As long as we have numbers we can do it providing the wind is down.

I'm in

Turns out my folks won't be able to come down until later next month, so I'll be available for either the 26th or 27th. Hopefully the weather/winds will cooperate this time

Juro, I had forgot that there is a bone clave...Is the bone clave sheduled for this weekend?...If so, I think we should not have a rip trip except I would want to know if there are some who are not planning to g to the bone clave... What is the sign up list for the bone clave? Does the group over lap.... Would the 10 guys planning on the rip make them cancel out on the bone Clave...If so I do not want that....But are those guys not planning on the Bone Clave anyway.

John...I feel you are right....people who signed up for either obviously wanted what they signed up for. There are more that 10FF's out there.

No need to explain. I haven't been able to follow the twists and turns.

So if I understand the responses there is a Rip Trip planned this weekend and another in early October? I may be interested in that one but will be attending the Boneclave this weekend. FWIW for those attending - the hardtail reports have been very positive.

Well.... The rip trip might end up cancelled anyway. I knew the Bone Clave was coming up but did not think about the exact date. Since we have had so many cancellations, one as recent as last weekend, my knee jerk reaction was to set one up and try for each weekend until we pulled it off. I can not tell exactly who is going to the bone clave, but I am counting at most 8 guys for the BC and I see no overlap, so I don't think the RT will have any effect on the BC participation. Please correct me if I am wrong or missing something>
