LARGE SALMON - No North. Am. Region Meets Conservation Minimums

Not a single region of North America is meeting the minimum conservation target for large Atlantic salmon. The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) released the sobering figures this month. The Atlantic Salmon Federation is calling for increased conservation measures at next week's meetings of the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization in Norway. Read more at:

In New Brunswick, 10 conservation organizations announced they will work together to restore the Atlantic salmon to the Petitcodiac once the river is again opened up. At one time the Petitcodiac had the fourth-largest run of salmon in New Brunswick.
