Fla fisihng from boat is a full sink tip necessary

Going tp Fla in a couple weeks Boca Grande for tarpon, snook, etc. Is a full sink tip necessary? If so what would you recommend. Have access to several boats for different depths of fishing, channels, shallows, etc.
Thanks

you can take a two piece but you will have to check it. I would buy a rod carrier or figure out a way to secure the rod tube to a suitcase or backpack.
