Acklins pics

We had a great trip to Acklins. Weather cooperated most of the time, and we had some good fishing. One day we caught over a dozen different species. I'll try and elaborate more soon--my son's birthday today.

caught from shore--tasty!

I think it is a type of wrasse--anyone know for sure?

Awesome pics. Especially like the grouper on a shrimp imitation. Thats pretty sweet. Here in Belize I've only ever gotten them to bite on various Clouser patterns.

Great shots and good coverage of the variety of fish you caught. I've wanted to fish Acklins since I started reading the posts to FFF, but now I'm in a fever to go (at least while I still can).

Cheers,

Eric

Great pics Vince!
Many thanks.

I would also be interested to know what the blue fish is. The colouring is like a parrot fish.

Nice pix Vince,
Brings back some great memories of a couple Acklins trips. Only thing we caught besides the bones were several varieties of jacks - small ones, trolling through deeper cuts. Threw at some barracuda, but no hookups.
Where on Acklins did you do most of the fishing?
Thanks.

We did almost all of our fishing up north--north of snug corner.

Very nice! The aerial view of the island is awesome.

That's quite a handful of 'cuda. Must have been a rush watching that bad boy charge at the fly !

The aerial view is actually some island on the way to Acklins--not Acklins.

The cuda was fun. Also lost another at least that big.
