Conservation Award and Endangered Salmon in Maine

The Atlantic Salmon Federation honored Nathaniel Reed with the Lee Wulff Conservation Award at meetings of the ASF Board of Directors in N.Y. Mr. Reed's exceptional long-term efforts include developing a moratorium on Greenland commercial harvest of Atlantic salmon. In Maine, federal authorities held public hearings in Augusta and Brewer on expanding endangered listing of the Maine Atlantic salmon to the Penobscot, Kennebec and Androscoggin, plus declaring certain sections of the rivers critical habitat. An account of the Brewer hearing is at:
