Acklins Trip

Just back from 2 weeks on Acklins. Mostly a DIY trip but did fish with local sharpie Elvis Collie one day, tried to go with him again but the weather got in the way. Probably the least sun and most rain I've seen down there in a dozen trips.Wound up with 40 fish. But considering I had 13 one day and 10 another the rest of thetrip was pretty tough. Did manage to get a 29" single which is the biggest I've caught.

Everything seems the same down there, did'nt see another person on the flats for the two weeks. Elvis said things are slow though he's booked solid for March and April working out of Crooked Island.

Stayed at Felton's in Delectable Bay everything went smoothly. Katy is still cooking Felton has a kayak now looks like a good two man rig though I did'nt use it. Wanted to get down to see Felton's new lodge which is nearing completion but when I tried to go there was about a foot of water on the roads down around Binnacle Hill.

Oh well as us former Brooklyn Dodger fans always said wait till next year.

Thanks for the report Charlie.

Shame about the weather.

It seems that I am not the only one to be affected by bad weather this year.
