Fished Tuesday on third permit. Managed to land a large grilse. Few fish registered that day. Conditions were cloudy with mild temperatures. River at normal levels and slightly tinted.

River has changed from last year's flood. Many major pools are changed drastically. Only time will tell if they remain productive. Like fishing a new river, many of us need to explore new areas for opportunity.

Fish has been very slow entering the system so far. We are behind in numbers. Word is that there are fish in the tidal waters but reluctant to enter. Hopefully we will get some rain to help fish to enter the system and to keep the river from dropping to low levels as water conditions now are quite good.

Howie, I hope you get the river straightened out and figured out by the time I get there on the 20th of July.

Rained quite well yesterday afternoon and through the night. River is up. Hopefully this high water will bring a needed surge of fish into the river.
