LR pictures

Hi

Here's a gallery from my recent trip to Los Roques in March. We had a lot of bones, some good barracudas, blue runners and jacks.
One of the days we ran into to a baitball were a lot of horseeye jacks, tarpon, false albacore and spanish mackerel chased the baitfish very hard. It was difficult to get any of them to take the fly because of the amount of bait - except from the false albacores and a couple of spanish mackerels. Very amazing to see big tarpons rolling into the baitball from top, open their big mouths and inhale a shovelfull of baitfish.

Now back in cold Denmark I can't wait to go back to LR

Strip-strike to all
Patrick

Great pics Patrick.

Where did you stay and who was your guide?

I don't recognize him.

Wonderful shots, Patrick. Liked the mixture of fish, fishing and local color.

Cheers,

Eric

Excellent Pictures ! Looks like it was a great trip, I'm sure the return home to Winter was no fun at all , I just hope it's not as cold as it is here in Canada

Hi again

I fished with 3 different guides:
Felipe (Guareque), I have fished with him on all my previuos trips to LR
Chapin, never fished with him before, but also a good guide
Eric, never fished with him before, good too.

We stayed at Posada Eva, located close to the basketball field and the stone pier. It's a standard posada with very nice people. They also have boat and license to sail with fishermen.

Thx all for positive comments

/Patrick

Patrick - I was on LR beginning of March and I am already planning my next trip ....

.... nice pictures, I thought the one with the baby Pulpo was pretty original.
