Awesome vid clip

Nothing much on the tube tonight, so flipped through clips on Comcast On Demand....came across a clip from an episode of "Fly Fishing America" that featured a bunch of guys called the Anglers Exploration Group (AEG) who filmed/produced the "Trout Bum Diary" DVD series. Decided to check out their website, and came across a collection of vid clips, including this one that got my blood pumping....giving me crazy thoughts about blowing the Cape for the Keys, and spending the money I've saved up for taxes on a 12 wt and guide fees.... check it out!

Addiction

Big Tarpon in the Keys or in the Glades are an addiction you want to loose. Particularly in the first 10 minutes of the fight you will seriously feel like they are trying to rip the rod out of your hands.

Tarpon clave should be a priority in 2008...

The idea of a tarpon clave is OK but you need a boat with a guide or a buddy as a guide. There are very few places where you can catch tarpon from the shore.
