Salmon and Foliage In New Hampshire This Weekend - Pics

Fly Fished lake Winnipesaukee (in NH) all weekend. Buddy Travis, his daughter Kaitlyn and I saw some serious action on Land-locked Atlantic Salmon and Lake Rainbows. It was also peak foliage time. the Hot fly was the Bead Head Leech, Olive.

Nice,
One of my favorite times to fish on Winnie is in the spring, Mid April or as soon as the Ice is out. We do real well on Lakers & Landlocks. The fish are up close top the surface and can be easily caught on a fly rod. Plus in April or early may there is no boat traffic save the hand full of other hearty fishermen.

Yep, April is a great time to hit the rivermouths. I am particularly fond of Alton and the Wolfeboro town docks.

I took these shots last Saturday on the Merrymeeting river in Alton, mostly.
