Crappie Candy Fly

I really like the looks of this fly so I tied my first one just now and here it is....

So what do you think? A crappie catcher?

Looks great! I'm sure it will catch crappie, and lots of other species as well. I also like the looks of the fly in your avatar. Did you tie that one too?

Yes thank you! I have been tying crappie jig for a while, but am fairly new to fly tying.

I have a fly pic page on my web site and you can see I have not tied a lot of flies yet, but I am learning a little at a time.

Thanks guys and just so you know it's not a name I came up with, it is a pattern tied by Al Campbell.

I just love the colors and thin next spring when the crappie go shallow it will be one of my main baits to take them. At least that is my thinking now, LOL!
