Another blurry pikture 9/16/07

This guy hit a fishair pike fly on about the fifth cast after casting a foam head diver for a couple of hours without much success. I did get a brief hookup with a pike and caught a small pickerel on the diver, and had two other pike hits/brief hookups on the fishair fly, so the catching was a little slow but it was a great day to be on the water.

Seems like I have a bunch of other photos kind of like this one. I usually try to get a photo of a pike before trying to handle it because they have a way of coming off the hook or biting through the line when I try to land them. In addition, if they can be easily released without handling them I will just let them go rather than trying to get a photo, and if they are difficult to release I will just get the hook out and revive the fish as soon as possible, again without a photo. In this case, the pike came loose right when I grabbed the bite tippet.
