Danielsson LW Q's?

I've been reading the archives on this reel and it seems like too good of a deal to pass up vs other reels on the market. A couple of Questions for anyone with experience.

1. What size for an 8/9wt rod. the 6nineLW or I read that the 8elevenLW is available as well. It will mainly be for stripers/blues from shore and the occasional bonefish trip.

2. How do I give credit to this sites advertising getting me interested in the reel. i want to make sure the manufacturer knows this site is the main reason I'm looking at their reels?

I've seen Juro's and they look great.

Thanks all

Hello,

In regards to giving credit to the site, I guess you just tell Ron Larson when you call you heard about them through the FlyFishingForum. I didn't think to mention that when I bought mine, But will make a point of it when I call for another.

Size can be a personal preference or a capacity issue. You might be thinking only stripers and blues, But if you get a really big striper or a tuna you might wish you had more backing capacity (200-300yards) . Even though the real is bigger, they are light enough that it's not too heavy.

Greg.

I use the 8eleven LW and find it's large diameter (4.25") perfect for Stripers on a 9 or 10# rod, as it really whinches the line back in and quickly too. I've even used it Bonefishing on an 8# as they are so lightweight.

I've put 300 yards of 30lb gsp on one spool and 200 yards of 30lb micron on the other.

Here's a shot of it on my 8# XP

I mostly use the 6nine for bonefish/stripers on everything from 7wt to 9wt. I agree with Stevo that on a 9wt/10wt my 8eleven would fit the bill. I do like the aesthetics of the smaller reel and it certainly handles the job well.

My oldest 6nine is several years old and has never needed service of any kind despite getting spun wildly on a regular basis. On the extreme - tarpon to 70 pounds. I think the bigger sizes would be more suitable for tarpon but I used what I had at the time and was targeting smaller tarpon when this thing came by...

Juro,

Do I just mention the sites name, or do I click through the banner to make sure your site gets recognized?

Thanks

I have a LW 8eleven too. I have not caught any huge fish yet , but it sure is a nicely built reel and balances out my 9 wt real nice. I guess I have about 200 yd of 30 Lb Dacron on it

Per backing I have hundreds of yards of 50# gelspun on the 6nine and have never come close to the arbor knot even with 40+ inch bass, hot Acklins bonefish and large tarpon.
