It's quiet in the tropics

This is the time of year when most serious bonefish and tarpon fisherman take a break. This is normally due to storms. So far this year it has been relatively quiet.

To try to retain a little interest in this topic here are a few pics.
I thought this up as I have just booked a trip to Alphonse Island in the Seychelles at the beginning of November.
Here are some memories from previous trips.

Bonefish

Bluefin Trevally

Milkfish

Triggerfish

Giant Trevally

There are many more species that I have caught there. That's just a taste.

Pete

Pete, awesome! I can't wait until my trip to the Seychelles--March 2008. I'll e-mail you sometime soon--love to hear what advice you have for the GTs.
Keep the Seychelles pics coming.

Wow...

My first post

Great pictures - would love to go to Seychelles sometime.
Is a do-it-yourself type of operation possible? (Jea, always on a budget... )
Or is guided fishing required?

Welcome -

I lived in Denmark when I was a young kid. Been back there as an adult once for a business visit to SAS. Nice place.

You should consider joining us on one of our DIY adventures, Acklins and beyond.

Very nice Pete,
The eyes on the Milkfish make it look as if it came out of a cartoon.
certainly gets the juices flowing.

tnx

Thank you juro.
Really, which part of the country did you live in?
Sure Denmark is a nice place. Fishing-wise its rather boring thou (in my oppinion) and we need to cross the Atlantic to get some action. But then again, I guess you cant compare anything to the strength of the tropical "fast-swimmers".

Sounds interresting with your DIY adventures. I assume its folks from this forum who participate? When are you planning to go?
I sure would like to hear more about it. However, its probably going to be difficult for me to collect the number of vacation-days since i already have a 4-week trip to mexico with my girlfriend in the pipeline this year.

Thanks,
-Lars

Seychelles

Pete
Those are some great pictures and I am sure some great memories as well.
I for one would like to hear more about the Seychelles. For example how does a trip there compare price wise to other destinations ?
Maybe when you have time, a little write up on traveling too and fishing in the Seychelles ? I am sure there are plenty of people interested in finding out more about such a location.
Keep up the good work

Trev
