Trout!

Happy day today! My wife finally allowed me in the attic where most of HER stuff is stored. Came across a box I hadn't seen in thirty years.

I opened it up and what did I find? Signed first edtion of "Trout" by Ray Bergman and dated 1938. The book was copywritten in 1937. It's in very good shape. It was given to me by her father after I hooked and landed my first trout on a fly. Going to have to read it all over again.

Wow! That's a great find!
Enjoy the book, it's a good read. Turn those pages carefully!

What a great thing to see!! I spent the dark nights of this past winter rereading my old copy of TROUT. It's a bit dated but it's prose and tales of the great Eastern Flyfishing of the past just gets you into the mood.

Good for you!!

A signed first edition must be worth a few bucks.

It's worth more to me just knowing I found it! It sits happily on the bookshelf waiting for the winter weather and another read.
