Albies & Macs & Blues, Oh My!

First off thanks all for the comradarie. A great group of guys.

Thanks Terry for getting this off the ground and running. After last year just like the Leon Russell song you knew we just had to "Go back to the Island".

Thanks Juro and Al for the outstanding job of putting up the page and database. I now realize that Washburn is probably the toughest clave to pull off. So much planning with so little time.

A HUGE thanks to all boat(large & small)captains who made the event possible. Especially Brian C., Tim W., & Greg O. for getting me out to the rips and fish. You guys are the balls!

Sully,
You're welcome. It's always fun to have you aboard.
BTW, when I left you on Sunday, you were 2/3 of the way to a Slam, having boated a couple bluefish and a nice Albie. Did you manage to get a schoolie or a Mac that afternoon and complete your first Slam?

Brian

The way I heard it was that the Sluggo King got a FLYROD SLAM! Isn't that true Sully?

Brian,

No slam Sunday. I don't know why but the only thing I caught in the afternoon was some ZZZZzzzz.

Terry,

Yup that's true, Monday was a Flyrod slam hence the title of the thread.

All, BTW I'm getting the pictures developed tonight. They should be digital tomorrow.

Sully -

The mid-day swap was too informal; we needed to ensure that another boat acts as the swapee whenever anyone has a hard deadline.

Curious... did you call anyone or hail on the radio?

Juro

Juro,

No biggie. You've met me, so you know I need my beauty rest. [img]http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Wilk.gif" border="0" align="middle">

I was dreaming about being alone on an Island with a beautiful 3' woman except her head was kinda flat, she didn't speak much and her father owned a package store. <img src="http://216.71.206.188/images/flytalk/Happy.gif[/img]
