Exclamation first fish on fly!!!

cuaght my first fish on the fly today the story is in my memeber profile section!
here are the pics of the fight and the carp! oh and this is in New South Wales australia!

thankyou for the reply i couldnt stop thinking about it today at school. its really distracting when you could be out there fly fishing. maybe this weekend!

ha, I caught my first carp yesterday on a fly they are a bizzare fish.. what fly did you use? mine was on a small unweighted caddisfly nymph.

caught the fish on a scotch poacher!
anyflys with a bright pink or orange pattern should work well.
im pretty sure my mate adam who took me fishing was using a Taihape Tickler
he got 2 that day on it and lost one.
since this first fish ive now caught 14 fish on fly.
1x carp
13x rainbow trout, the first trout on fly was a good kilo plus fish which i took last winter in tasmania, and the second was a 1.6kg rainbow from around my area an exceptional fish for the area.
