Is it too late for a nyphm?

Picked up the fishing licence yesterday, and I was just wondering if it is too late to use nyphms. I'm not sure as to what to use at this time of year for river fishing.

Nymphs take fish year round. There are always insects hatching, even in winter. Just find out what hatches occur where you are at different times of year and match your flies accordingly.

The best answer to your question is found by rolling over a few rocks.

There will always be nymphs in a river - unless its polluted or something - these nymphs will change fairly dramatically in terms of size throughout the year.
