Warm Water Venues Near Corvallis?

Hey,

A young friend of mine, who is beginning flyfishing, and lives in Corvallis, wants to try out his new 5 wt. I was thinking it might be fun to hit local ponds for some action with those orange-bellied, spawning Bluegill.

Does anyone have any suggestions for some places to hit? I've seen ponds from the road (99E) in Camp Adair -- are they any good? I'd Like a place where we can cast from the shore or the shallows.

Thanks,

-- Eric

Hi, Mark,

Yes -- Corvallis is in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, about 80 miles south of Portland. It is the home of Oregon State University and a very nice college town in all respects.

Wound up going to the pond at Camp Adair and the St. Lewis Ponds near Woodburn. Panfishing in both places sucked big time.

That's how my fishing has been going now for some time. Whine Whine.

Cheers,

Eric
