Yellowfin on a dryfly...
I started screwing around throwing gummys at busting tuna ealier this month on Acklins and tied some floaters to make it interesting. I found the best way to tie a floating gummy is to use silver crease fly foam as the under body, put a strip of the green spash Sili Skin as a back, then cover with the mother of pearl just like the normal gummy. They float like corks. The tuna hit it hard on the surface, with the skip jacks rocketing out on it and the yellowfins just exploding. They also were deadly on the jacks and ceros, but what isn't? These are on 2/0 hooks and about 2 1/2 inches long to match the silversides in the blue water, but a smaller version should work at LR.
