Dam removal permit..

The State of Washington has given the final approval for the removal of the two dams on the Elwha River. The State permit is for water quality, last month Clallam County granted "Building Permits" for the removal and some dike projects
Details that are (I guess) part of the official process, the work is still reported to be starting in 2009 and the dams will both be removed at the same time.
I only live a few minutes away from the river so I am really looking forward to watching the process. If the internet is still around by then I will finally learn how to post "Digital images" to keep you all up to date on the project.
