Acklins, Nassau lodging

We're heading for Acklins Island in mid April - first trip there and looking forward to it. I could use some recommendations about a place to stay in Nassau for the night before. The less expensive and the closer to the airport the better. Have had Orange Hill Inn mentioned as a possibility. Any suggestions?
I could also use some suggestions as to flies to try to have - pattern, color, size.
Thanks. GMflyfish

Acklins

Juro, We are staying at or near Lovely Bay, small place, quite rustic; the guide is Fedel. Supposed to be there 18-25 Apr. Hope to gets lots and lots of fishing time.

Oh man... you are in for a treat.

Most likely you will launch off the west end of Lovely Bay and explore the areas that are largely unreachable from shore. Last group from this forum to go out that way got the double digit bone.

Bonefishing the way is was meant to be out there.... pure and unadulterated. I imagine you will have meals at the Sunset too - you won't be disappointed!

Make sure you stop in and see our graffitti on the walls at the "Off the Chain" bar and say hi to Helen for us.

Our family stayed at Orange Hill last year and will again this year. Not super luxury.... but clean and well appointed with a pool & small restaurant/bar. Just accross street from ocean beach. A 5 minute cab ride from the airport.
Management is very nice and helpful. Take a look at their webpage.....
