Exclamation WSC Auction Reminder and Conservation Award Winner

Hope many of you can make it, by the way who's coming from the bb?

Dear Friends of Wild Steelhead,

It is with great pleasure that the Wild Steelhead Coalition’s Board announces this year’s WSC Conservation Award winner. After review of many deserving candidates the WSC Board voted unanimously for Frank Amato to be this year’s award winner. The Wild Steelhead Coalition "Conservation Award" is presented to an individual or group that, through their actions and/or accomplishments, have made significant and noteworthy contributions to the protection and propagation of wild steelhead.

Frank’s cumulative work for steelhead and years of providing visibility of the importance and plight of wild steelhead through his publishing company has also been a catalyst for many anglers to become involved in steelhead conservation.

We invite you to join us at the Wild Steelhead Coalition’s Awards Banquet and Fundraiser on February 10, 2007 to honor Frank’s years of contribution to help increase the return of wild steelhead, see a great presentation from Steve Probasco, editor of NW Fly Fishing and the opportunity to bid on some great items to benefit the work of the Wild Steelhead Coalition. Go to the WSC website for more details and sign up for the evening!

Congratulations to Frank Amato!

Wonderfulf that Frank Amato was your winner for the year. Many of us will be forever in his debt for spearheading the successful campaign to acquire the lower twelve miles of the Deschutes canyon as a public resource. Amato has always been on the forefront of those who act in the steelheads' best interest.

Good luck with the Banquet. It seems to be shaping up as a wonderful event.
