Canmore Bow River

Hi all,
I am starting again with adding the photo's.
We are staying at a Condo just outside Cammore, called Crossbow. If anybody can tell me about this stretch of river, how, where, what to fish, would be great. Is it possible to wade from this point, up-down stream and could I make a mornings fishing there? Have been told about some fishing, parking at a bridge on the main A road, east of Canmore and was wondering if this was it?
Many many thanks to anybody that can help me,
cheers for now,
gibbos1

Send a PM to member "frenchcreek" who is a Bow River expert.

Also it looks to me that if you can cover water on that river you can find some huge trout - whether from shore or boat I would like my chances there for sure.

Sent you a PM as well.

bow river

i am new to this forum. but the bow river is in my area. i have fished some of the bow, and it is considered fairlymid size water, about 100-200 yds wide and is not wadeable in most areas . it has high flowsfrom april tilmid june . best fishing would probably be july-sept but lots of pressure there form others . a drift boat is nice . there are a lot of other smaller waters within an hour drive with a lot of unique sights and awesome potential, good luck catch a few for us all rickfly9

bow river

not too much wadeable, parking would have to be from access up or downstream as this is the #1 hiway and has controlled access, mornings are great ,can be cooler, even frost til june, but warms up by 11

Ah many thanks guys, real help.
I have been told from my brother-in-law, that he has seen a few anglers fishing from his condo side of the river and that I can just walk from their place around the building and down the bank?
Anymore information would be great.
Thanks again,
gibbos1
