Where would you go? Early December..short trip!

I should find out by tomorrow if I have several days off around the 7th of December..

Thinking of doing a quick trip somewhere... not sure where .. say 5N or 6N trip..

Any ideas?

Anyone going anywhere that we could meet and share a flats charter ?

Thanks...

It's a rfeally nice fishery, iff you can loose the crowds. Given a choice, I think I'd pick it over Andros next week.

Personally, I'd go down to some warm weather before having to deal with a New England winter. Andros or somewhere else in the Bahamas sounds about right.

If you're into coastal fishing that isn't too cold yet, New Jersey (particularly Sandy Hook) should be hot then. The fishing has been decent that way for a while now, and should only get better as the New England fish continue to migrate southward.

Watuga River

In upper East Tennessee, near the Virginia and North Carolina line, the Watuaga River flows. If it is a float trip, you can float the entire trophy trout section, if you want to walk in, most of the land is privately owned. If you check it out and decide to make the trip, I can get you on to some private land where I walk in often. You don't have to worry about crowds and the scenery is great. The weather should be much better than Maine. Lots of good water around here.

me i'd want to go get my ass kicked by some big silver king - tarpon

Culebra Island, or one of those sleepy resorts on the west end of PR with the tarpon feeding. yeah I'd feed them alright

Get in a trip to the Keys before the chain of cold fronts start marching through. The area even offers bacon and eggs for breakfast

i'd head to either south florida and do some peacock bass fishing in the canals with alan zaremba for a day or 2 and head for the salt in either the everglades or the keys. there's always something biting-snook, sea trout, sharks etc. if you're longing for a river then north georgia for trophy trout fishing. biiiiiggg trout.

Frank. Please take the above advice if you love to angle for trout. A good buddy of mine and one of the best fishermen I know just got back and said it was phenomenal in Ga. He drove nine hours from Sarasota to fish it. Email me at bonefishmon@aol.com and I'll send you his report.

Phil
