Does anyone have info on where to buy a used Kayak for a 14 year old just starting out?

Will it be used for SW/open ocean? Small ponds? Is main purpose as a fishing platform? Will he use it summer only or in cold weather too?
Lots of good ones out there but you have to match them to your kid( size) and needs.
