draw question

Hi All,
I have a question about the cascapedia pre season draw system.
I see alot of p'ing contests go on in this area and I am really trying to avoid this, I just want to know a little info.

If you put in for the preseason draw say the canoe draw. sectors c,d,e i believe, how many rods per day would be allowed for non residents. Is there some simple answer like 4 or is it a more complex way of figuring it out? I have not really been able to find any info on the web.

Again not looking to stir any kind of hornets nest just trying to understand things better myself.

Thanks,JohnP

draw question

The management of the river has changed somewhat But it used to be a 90/10 % split for Resident vs Non-resident drawings but I do not know the ratio these days.

The answer to the question is 3 days - you book for a shared rod in sectors E, D, C, B. You and your partner take turns fishing. Both can take a fish. Or preferably release a fish or TWO!!!

By your question I believe you've placed in the draw (?) If you have placed in the draw the # of rods allowed is the same whether res. or non res.
The Grande Cascapedia office are VERY helpful in helping someone choose a date and/or sector. ENJOY !!!! You're in for a treat of a lifetime !! Good NO BS guides !!
If you haven't experienced the sectors you've mentioned you're in for a treat !!
Green Ghost has explained it well.
Just tell us at the end of the season next year how ya did . I'm sure DB will pipe in with some good info from a guide's perspective.
Cheers

Thanks guys, actually my number was in the reserves however!!, someone elses I know was lower and we have a good chance at some decent water, it would be my first trip up and I have heard alot of great trip reports from up there. Was trying to figure how many rods fish the sector a day, that = how good a chance we have.

Draw Question

Salar -1 is right, the GC office will advise you as to the best beats for your drawing rank and time of year. As for competition, there is NONE. You will have a reserved set of pools. 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. The possibility exists that a private boat fished your afternoon pools in the morning. But Only you and your partner will be fishing on any pool at any given time.
