If three piece becomes acceptable I have an RPLXI and a Pate Tarpon...

12 Weight RPLXi

Philster, I am in Seattle and interested in the 12 weight rod. I already have a RPLXi but love the rod and would like to have a back-up. Please let me know if you are interested in selling the rod. Thanks, Steve Rohrbach

Still looking for 12 wt. 4 piece

The sage & loomis are very tempting - but for traveling purposes, I need a 4 piece

I invested in a couple of Temple fork 12wt four piece professionals a couple of years back and couldn't be happier.

At that price (currently around $159.95 a pop) you can get two for the price of one of the big names and its nice to have a backup.

I also have a couple of high end rods but, apart from some cosmetics, there's not much to choose between them.

I agree with the TF 12 wt 4pc rods. I have a TiCr and think it's a great rod for the price. And it made a lot of sense for a rod I only use one week a year (tarpon).
