Simmsie UK Megastar

Hey Jim,

You got your name in an article by Austin (Barramundi) in a UK monthly rag called Today's Flyfisher - can I be your UK Agent? I'll just take a small cut of your booking fees; say 20%.

They were supposed to have a picture of you with a big fish according to one of the fish shots, but messed it up and put a picture of Colin in.

You want me to post you a copy of the mag?

Jamie, thanks for the info. Does that mean that I'm now called Sir Simms? Austin and Colin are both great fisherman, and enjoyed their company while here. Would be interested in his article about the cape and his take on the fishery for the UK audience.

Incidentally, Silas, Arthur from S. Carolina and I had a good day today, about 100 fish, biggest 32, but most 18-24. Fall run is about to start.

Hey Colin, you greedy swine - not fair, only one trip a year allowed.

Are you going to take over a copy for Lord Simms, First Earl of the Striper?

I noticed the glaring mistake also... What's up with these glossy Mags, can't they get anything right?

Stevo, if possible, please post the article or the site...I'd love to read about "Sir Simms", Lord of the Sea , Prince of Bass and a Darn Good Friend:-) It's about time that he got some well deserved press! Would be interesting to see what and how they wrote the article.

I dont really put much stock in all this adulation of Mr. Simms,
remember the French adore Jerry Lewis !!!!....

Had I known while fishing on Acklins and Monomoy that I was with a legend I would have insisted on an autograph !

Hey Jimbo... hope to see you the end of the month in Chatham... trying to convince Acklins Big Dave to join me !

It's not what Jim wrote, rather a wrongly named angler (Shad) being labelled as Jim Simms. I can't see Jim minding though as Shad is 20 years younger! Sorry Jim.
