I`m not sure...because I`m beginner

Hello,
Hello, this it is the first time that I participate in this forum, I am trying to get information about the reel Orvis CFO III.
I like this reel because it has a disc drag, But I am not sure to buy it... I have spoken with orvis.com and they tell me that "the reel is made using English components but built in the Far East".
How the construction, quality, is šthis reel?
Thanks

Ola Alex!

Bienvenido

I have copied your post onto the "Gear Talk" forum.

That's the best place to get info on different rods, reels etc.

Please tell us, how is the fishing in Spain?

Are you fishing freshwater or saltwater?

Thanks

Hello,
above all thank you to place in a correct forum my question.
I fishes fly bass, carp, catfish and trout in lake and in river.
Spain is a country with a lot of coast and beach areas, but the fly fishing is practiced mainly in its rivers.
The trouts are not excessively big and there is a great fishing pressure for the trout, for that reason I prefer to fish other fish like the catfish, carp, etc.
Thank you another time and excuse me for my bad english

I don't own any but have friends that do and I believe that the CFO reels will serve you very well.

I purchased CFO III and CFO IV reels in 1980 for trout fishing. They serve well to this day, with that terrific Hardy sound and generous capacity for fly line and backing.

Mine were made by Hardy in England. If the product is now made in Asia, the quality is probably at least as high.
