Myrtle Creek, Oregon ???

Have a job in the next few weeks down in a little town in Oregon called Myrtle Creek just off of I-5 and south of Roseberg and Winston. Will be there for a few days might like to bring the cane for some summer runs after work. Anyone know if it will be worth getting an Oregon lic. to do so or should I just sit in my Motel room and watch the bad spin doctors of right wing cable TV?

Thanks
OC

Talking YOU BETCHA!

You're minutes away from the South Fork, main stem and the North Umpqua ... not to mention a few other streams within an hour-hour/half drive. What more is there to say??

A run of summer steelhead was thought to exist historically on the South Umpqua, but they're gone, and the river isn't planted anymore with summer fish anymore.

1 hour and change will land you on the North
