Big Brother Day 2006 - in the books!

Awesome BB day - in fact it was unanimous that this was the best so far. I think the pictures will speak for themselves... here's a sampling while we prepare the photo gallery.

Kudos to the Forum mentors who did a phenomenal job, and the Rip Ryder team who generously donated rides for this huge group. Mike Brady and the Monomoy Refuge staff provided an unprecedented level of support this year in several aspects including hats with custom embroidery for all who participated in the event.

Our admiration and respect goes to the Big brothers who do this every weekend. The BB staff: Molly and Zach who make everything tick like clockwork...

and most of all the little brothers whose spirit, energy and enthusiasm made it joy to share the day of adventure.

Stay tuned for the photo gallery...

Excellent!

It was hard not to think of you guys while I was at the wedding this past weekend. Congratulations on a successful event.

Awesome time at the BB Clave- just wish the fish had been a little more cooperative with my pair! They were working the drop off mighty hard before the wind kicked up and made casting tough for even yours truly. They got pumped watching the seals frolic on the surf side.
Awesome after-clave festivities at the Squire and CAC- I was "anesthetized" for some time by Adrian's donation to the CAC liquor closet (125 proof!!!). Felt wiped the next day, so did the lazyboy thing on my LazyBoy; regretted not getting out again as I had planned, but sometimes you just need the rest....until next time!

For the first time since I can remember we actually had decent weather! This has become such a special event and one I wouldn't want to miss. The Forum mentors get together for a bit of strategic planning ...

lots of fun to be had on the surf side ..

and even managed to get one for my little bro - took three of them to hold it up - the smiles say it all

and of course the end of day graduation ceremony and group shot

under the ever watchful eye of the Refuge sentinel ..
