Salmon River Report Needed

Dear Friends,

I do understand that the pressure is off on the Salmon River right now. I have also heard that steelies and Atlantics move up the river starting in May. Any information as a PM or post would be greatly appreciated.

I am thinking of giving the weekend a try and need some motivation.

All the best,

C.R.O.

Salmon river report

There are some Atlantics that come into the river as well as Skamania. The numbers are very small and are a difficult target in the summer flows 185cfs. I have seen Atlantics and Skamania in the lower fly zone but it is closed until Sept. They do have recreational releases for kayakers approx 3-4 times thru the summer. They increase the flow to 750cfs, I believe Pulaski has a web site and they post the flow dates. If I were to go I would plan around those dates, usually w/e.
I don't know how far you have to travel but it might not be worth the trip.
