Chatham Blues?

Anyone score a bluefish in Chatham yet this year?

I long to see the ominous yellow eye, hear the grinding of teeth against the pliers, and smell the aroma of almost-ripe canteloupe in the salt air

Think I hooked one at Morris Island. Reel screamed and lot the fish due to a bird's nest. When I checked the leader it was cleaned off Bluefish style. FishHawk

Pete I hope you're right about the time share.

Evening high tides

Rain and foul weather.

It's all coming together now....

Speaking of light drags...A few days ago I adjusted the drag range on my Danielsson LW 8 12 to be abit heavier in anticipation of a 40# striper ..Just followed the directions and it worked out fine.

I did the same, just a little tweak and it's ready for the freight train

OC -

great idea, it's time to start the 2006 "40 incher" club and I don't mean age or waistlines

Membership rules:

On a fly
Picture

There will be a shore class and boat class, also witness class and no witness

(I will set up the photo gallery for it)

What is the record Stripa on a fly and where was it caught? I believe that the artist Russel Chatum had it many years ago and it was caught along the docks of Oakland, Ca. It hangs on the wall of his Livingston, Mt. eatery in all its glory.

Fred,
Don't ever be concerned about a 40" gut as that is only about 20 pounds extra in the steelhead formular. But a 40 pound gut now that we should worry about!
You all have a good weekend!

Well I guess that's all relative! At your height 40" is like 29" to me
