Yet another Marc LeBlanc fly, (sorry guys, tying all my stuff for Gaspe next week). This fly was originally tied as a sea trout fly. Mark made some modifications for salmon and another star is born.

Hook: Up eye salmon hook
Tag: Oval silver tinsel.
Rib: Oval silver tinsel.
Body: Pearl flat braid of some sort.
Wing: White bucktail under pearl blue krystal flash under light brown bucktail.
Hackle: Long gray heron type hackle and silver pheasant body feather.
Cheeks: Jungle cock
Head: White with a blue band

Also one of my favorites . . . I'm tying for the Gaspé at the moment, too.
Here's a small double, tied by Marc hisself.

The most killing fly I've ever had in the water on the Great Lakes. Just like a high fastball the Steelhead cannot lay off them. Had one on a plastic tube two years ago come across the pool like a shark from about 30 feet and plaster that fly.

Well done, Charlie.

I love the one on the small double. I'll have to request some of those myself.

Interesting fly. I assume it would not be as effective without the blue band on the head since the band is intentional and adds to the overall visual effect of this fly.
