What a differance a tide makes

I was out at dawn today, wall to wall fish on top from Prov down to Conimicut. Unhook one and toss the fly back in the water and before you could pick up the rod another would grab it! Could have got them with a hand line! Just an estimate but I would say I got 150 in 4 hours. With a vac day allready starting off so good I headed back for the afternoon turn out. Gone, disapeared! Only managed to scrape up 3 fish, but whereas this mornings fish were all dinks, the 3 this evening were identical, all 33" and 13 lbs. My buddys a fish eater and would have thrown me overboard if I put them back so we brought 2 home.

Sounds typical for migration! Nice to hear you got some bigger fish later.
