Lightbulb Western New York Trout Unlimited fund raising banquet!

The Western New York chapter of Trout Unlimited will be holding their annual fund raising banquet on Saturday March 25 at Ripa's Restaurant on Walden Ave corner of Pavement in Lancaster. Cash bar starts at 6pm with dinner at 7pm. tickets are $30 and are available at the monthly meeting or at the local fly shops. There will be a door prize with the entry ticket and lots of bucket raffles, silent auctions and other raffles. We will also be doing a free, open to the public, fly tying demo starting at 4pm and going till 6pm. you do not need a ticket to the banquet to check out the fly tying. Charlie Dickson, Jim Guida, Brian Slavinski and Nick Pionessa will be tying flies so far and there will be others. There is also a separate raffle of a Scott E2 10' 7 wt 4 pc rod and a Bauer JM4 reel. Tickets for the combo are $10 or 3 for $20 and available at the same locations.

This is the clubs only fund raising event of the year. This is the Buffalo area chapter of Trout Unlimited and is a great club dedicated to the preservation of coldwater fisheries. TU is not a fly-fishing organization, they are a not for profit conservation organization. The general meetings are held at the Donovan Post VFW on Genesee Street next to the thruway and are open to non-members as well. Meetings are the last Tuesday of the month and start at 7:30pm. Everyone here should be a member and we need new/young members to get involved. If anyone has any questions I will be happy to answer them here or through e-mail.

Charlie.

It will be fun, I know some of the fly tyers personally, and they are very good. I'll be there!
