Fernie is a beautiful Canadian Rockies destination, lot's to do and great scenery. The Elk river flows through town and is probably one of the better Cutthroat trout rivers around. There are many other rivers and lakes to consider for fishing and many hiking and rock climbing, and golfing etc. opportunities. Depending on when you plan to come over, several options exist. You will likely fly in to either Calgary or Vancouver from the UK and then drive to Fernie & area. Send me a PM and I can give you more information. My avatar is a pic on the Elk.
