Is it a fresh fish or a kelt?

That is in fact a Kelt and caught just a few days after Ice out. A Bright fish would have much more girth. I must apologize for the poor quality of my thumbnails. The actual pictures are MUCH clearer. I would be interested to hear where Salar-1 thinks this "spot" is. It is a really big river that time of year.

Yeah but there's not many islands no matter what level the river is at
If you wish to reduce your jpg for posting here try, reducing by percent instead of pixels to get down to the 60.5 kbs

You are correct, there are very few islands. One of these islands parallels this pool (that is also a summer pool). The pool is bordered by non-desiduos trees and therefore is aptly named.

Martin,
It is hard to fish 300 days a year and stay married.

Charlie: Still not sure about Somerset. We have one of the guys in the shop off getting married but will if I can manage. Will be nice to see Anne and Brian this week. Will miss your presence.

Malcolm: looking forward to your reports. (BTW you are not using bricks this time of year are you?)

Ramsay,
Considering the company I am in I wouls imagine a Carron intermediate would be the line of choice.

WG, How are the condition for a Jan fish? ours have been awful with may two -three fishable days a reasonable but high levels. With the change in timing are you and the Speyside boys going to make Spey-o-rama?
