For Sale: 15 hp. Mercury

As a result of repowering (picking up a 25), I'm selling my 15 hp Mercury outboard. It's 3 years old, with relatively low hours on it, and has had TLC. It's a short-shaft motor with a long-shaft kit installed. $1000.

Give me a shout if you want more info.

Marvin

Very tempting... let's see, a cap for my truck or this motor... the cap let's me crash in strategic spots along the coast... the motor, if attached to the appropriate floating object, can get me there whenever I decide to wake up... the cap will keep my stuff dry when I drive to the water... the motor will make sure my line gets wet in the right spots more often... hmmm....

I'll throw in a blue tarp and some bungie cords- that ought to make the decision easier :-)

I can honestly say that I haven't ruled out the motor this whole time, but decided that I am going to put a cap on my truck this year. I will be needing a comfortable place to crash more this year with competition for the cottage and my family weekend schedule, etc.

That being said, I am looking at the A.R.E MX Series with side window access and the Walk-Thru tailgate option which opens like a cabin on a large boat -or- like a SUV hatch. Looks kinda storm-trooperish but I am a function over form kinda guy. Any experiences with A.R.E out there?
