The trip proposes to meet in Nassau on Feb 25th, Friday night. We have excellent accomodations at a reasonable / favorite hotel and do a little shopping for the morning flight to Acklins (fresh veggies etc).

This gives us a rendezvous point and lets us do last minutes for the prop flight inthe morning, around 8am.

We arrive Acklins around 10-11am and after getting water, gas, things in place at the condo we can be stalking flats by afternoon.

Last year I landed a 4# fish on my first cast before 2pm. Of course there were highs and lows to follow but the highs were astronomical and the lows were like fishing for bones anywhere else DIY on foot. Lets put it this way I would have a hard time thinking of a better place to fish DIY.

We also plan to recruit the services of the top guides on the island, legendary reputations precede them.

Whether you stay three days and leave Wednesday or stay thru Saturday the price will be the same and it's quite reasonable either way.

If additional people want to come along on the same dates there are other places to stay in the area. I like the idea of having a crew on Crooked with a mid-week swap

This area is very remote and although we have not encountered anything but tropical paradise conditions any health concerns would be difficult to attend to.

What we have learned on the last excursion is highly leveraged on subsequent trips and I am confident that this trip will be twice as ridiculous.

I'm interested, I'd like to get into the other board and learn more. I'm on a pretty tight budget these days, so that'd be the deciding factor for me...

So far we have Dave, JFK, Matt, myself, possibly Jim Simms, etc. There is no reason we couldn't run these right thru the winter in groups of 4 or 8 if both units are open.

Out of respect and honor please do not sign up unless your intent is to participate.

Juro I second your comments. I feel like we really have the knowledge now to hammer 'em. I envision bones a plenty for the first couple of days and once we've had our fill maybe a little more exploring. The fingers await this year ........

acklins trip

Juro,

What would be the approximate cost for the trip for the full trip? What would you think would be a fair amount for pocket money? I'm very interested.

Jim

Hi guys
In rainy Oregon at the moment. Waiting on details of another Bahamas trip in April to solidify before I can commit to anything. But am interested if it works and there's room left in one of the trips. Look forward to returning.

I would also be interested in doing a trip again... had great fun on the last Acklins trip and met some new friends .... not sure on my available dates yet so would appreciate being kept in the loop for proposed dates so I could plan.

thanks

Juro. Please keep me in the loop if you find comfortable housing for the second group. I have to get through the Christmas shopping campaign before I can commit otherwise I would have jumped right on this. Thanks.

Phil
