This Weekend (11/12)

I jumped all over the Montauck idea but, realistically, an overnight is not in the cards. Wife's away but I gotta take care of the pooch. I'm thinking So. County area either Saturday or Sunday. Anyone else so inclined?

Otherwise I have stuff that needs to be done down the cape so maybe I'll check out a few spots on the bayside, Chatham or the mythical Bass River steelhead run.

Fred, I am up for at least one of those days...I will bring the new spinning rod just in case they are out of range. Now that I put in some practice with it last weekend I have developed a new magic trick I can throw 2 oz. far enough to make it disappear

Fred,

My Dad & I are Toying with the Idea of one Last Gasp, probably a Yak Run.

Going to keep a Close Eye on Wind Direction & stregth of course.

Plymouth, Sandwich, Barnstable, South Side, Turo, B-Bay, are all possibilities.

Mythical's the keyword. Heard it somewhere, don't remember where.
I think a Bass River steelhead is the majestic, chrome colored, white perch.

Long shot theory on Bass River Steelhead, it could be a sea run trout from the Childs River. FishHawk

Greggo,
Do you think they are still around in CCB? I was toying with the idea of draggin the boat to RI/CT but this time of year Cod is a possibility in my local waters. A little FF from shore in less than 15knots would be nice before switching over to truck trout. I'm on the disabled list for yakin until I get the (tennis/fishin/workin on the house) elbow under control but a shore outing might be doable, my casting arm is still good and stripping doesn't seem to hurt much. Come to think of it jigging cod might be out too. I'll keep an eye on the thread.

I hope to be on a beach somewhere on Saturday and/or Sunday. Pretty sure I'll make it a weekend trip, but I have no idea where I'll start or end up. The reports of fish on the bayside have me wondering if I've been fishing in the wrong places. Maybe I'll start on the Cape and then go to RI and CT if necessary.

Fred. I've been doing sorties to the Rhoddy beaches every afternoon this week. Pretty slow and very hit or miss. If you have fish north of the canal you should fish there until further notice. Wish I had that big funnel closer to me! LOL!!
