Eastern Long Island

Spent the last few day on Eastern Long Island chasing the migration. Went to a local tackle shop and after spending $45 on hooks was told that only a few blues were around . Marine forcast said there would be gale force winds. Well I decided to fish anyways. First cast produced the classic blue fish leader.
Using my Flats skills I set up on a fishy looking point. After two cast I got the familar tug. Striper !!! After that it was non stop action. I made the right decision.
No Phat Lady on the Island. Fish were husky chamber of commerce South Beach Stripers on their way South. I'm the talk of the area as I was the only one catching fish. On top of that I was the only flyfisherman.

Way to go Bill!!!
When sight fishing, look over your shoulder from time to time, you never know who's behind you

brings fame to the forum. As his reputation grows, I will remember having fished with him many times. Way to go Bill, show those metal and bait chunkers how it is done on the fly.
